It occurred to me today I should update my LJ.

At the moment I am just killing time until I leave for the movie theatre to bask in some ROTK goodness. *tries to keep from exploding with anticipation*

Sigh…I am sinking back into limbo again. The thing is, I love teaching—if it's like what I’ve been doing the last year and a half between the private school and the tutoring center. But when it comes to public school, I’m not so sure. Besides that, my mother has been pretty discouraging about the lack of job opportunities in teaching, at least around here.

So lately I have been getting pulled back to the idea of going to Nursing School. I have all the prereqs—with straight As, no less—and if I apply now I should be able to get in. But how will I afford to go back to school? And can I really handle the stress of a career in healthcare?

But then, can I really handle the stress of a career in education?

GAAHHH!

Mom keeps pushing me to take some kind of career assessment test. But will it really tell me anything I don’t already know?

And then there’s music. I miss it. I really do. But I just don’t think I can go back. Unless…maybe I could do music therapy. FSU is supposed to have a good graduate program for music therapy. But I have a feeling that even that would put me right back into the stress of weekly lessons, ensembles, recitals, practicepracticepractice, your-life-is-not-your-own-it-belongs-to-the-school-of-music-and-must-revolve-around-music-at-all-costs, etc.

Maybe I should just go for a career in Muggle Relations. Or I could train security trolls.
