Aye, me. Okay, I'll try to give a real update.

I got into nursing school. And I decided once and for all that I DON'T want to be a nurse. So that's that. I really like teaching, so I think I need to stick with education. I'm going to look for another job--hopefully something teacher-ish--for January (when I leave my job at the medical office) through July (when my lease is up). Then I'm going back to Orlando. I might go to grad school for Special Ed in the fall. We'll see.

*snerk* I knew that was gonna happen. The Beliefnet quiz also pegs me as a 100% match for Catholic and Eastern Orthodox, and only something like 85% for Evangelical Protestant. Now I know very well there are some important things I disagree with the Catholic and Orthodox Churches on, and I've never gone in for the liturgical style of worship. I think I probably "score" this way because I pay more attention to social justice and human rights issues than Evangelical Protestants are thought to. *rolls eyes*

The big question about that quiz is why it separates "Catholic" from "Christian."

Yeah...well I've heard enough people do that (including at least one Catholic--to my surprise) that it doesn't really phase me that much. Personally, I think that Catholicism is like every other Christian sect--some of its members are really followers of Christ--and therefore are "Christians"--and some are not. *shrugs* I can't get too worked up about the semantics.

Yeah. I left a comment to the creator saying that the distinction should be "Catholic" and "Protestant" or "Catholic" and "Evangelical". I'm nitpicky that way.

so, yeah, I got the whole catholic thing too...
I think they've perhaps got their concept so which one is the more 'liberal' or not set to the catholic being the more reserved of the two.... I'm not so sure about that. Maybe it was the "I believe in Angels" thing, which perhaps people see as being more of a catholic thing, right there next to the overly uber-emphasis in Mary-ology.

And then I got Luke... so, does that mean that you're my sister.... which aslo leaves me wondering... did kiss you???

also, check your LJ clock settings, it still seems to be off. at some points, it's five hours off, and at others, its one hour off... I just don' get it..... but hey, it's LJ, it ain't purfect.

I was also primarily catholic in this test (90%), but then I scored 65% Jewish and only 55% Christian... Maybe that shouldn't surprise me though... Some days I wish I was born Jewish... I know I'm in by adoption and all that, but I still think it would be cool to be one of God's people by blood too!!! That, and I'm a sucker for tradition! (isn't that the theme word for Jews?)
